Engineered Wood Floor Designs & Trends for 2017

There are many choices to pick from in hardwood floors such as Prefinished Engineered Wood, Unfinished Engineered Wood, Prefinished Solid Wood and Unfinished Solid Wood. 

dark engineered hardwood flooring in a kitchenWithin those choices, there are a variety of options to fit the updated the look you want for your home.  There are different wood species, multiple stain choices, varied plank sizes, random lengths and directional laying options.   Since the choices can be overwhelming we are featuring three Prefinished Engineered Wood floors from LM Flooring.  These floors have both the color and texture of 2017 trends discussed in our December blog.  

1. Natural Reserve Collection

Oak – Tundra.  It has a beautiful open grain of plain sawn wood.  Natural Reserve is an engineered floor ½” thick four side beveled. It has an aluminum oxide finished with weathered texture. The planks are 7 ¼” wide with random length up to 72’.  The warranty on this floor is 25 years residential.  Since you can float, nail, glue or staple this floor it is good for above ground, basement and ground levels.   A versatile floor that offers several color choices to fit the style you need.

European Oak-Taupe.  Coventry is an example of hand-scraped wood for more texture.  The occasional chatter marks make for a little more rustic look.  These planks are also ½” thick, four side beveled and they are multi-ply.  The durable aluminum oxide finish carries a 25 year warranty.  It is 7” wide and random length planks up to 72”.  The installation and level versatility are the same as the Natural Reserve.

3. Trailside Collection

Oak- Caribou.  This natural beauty is also available in a Silverado color that fits into the grey color trend. The planks are 7 ¼” wide with random length up to 72’.  The warranty on this floor is 25 years residential.  Since you can float, nail, glue or staple this floor it is good for above ground, basement and ground levels.
